Protect

We find the vulnerabilities before they find you.

Attackers rarely need anything exotic. They scan for the misconfiguration nobody checked. These are the attack paths we find most often in small offices, how each one gets exploited, and the control that closes it. You decide what's worth fixing, and if something doesn't matter for your business, we'll tell you.

Common

Impersonators posing as you

How it's exploited Without SPF, DKIM and an enforced DMARC policy, anyone can send mail that passes as your domain: spoofed invoices, payment-change requests and phishing links aimed at your clients.

The fix DMARC moved to enforcement (p=reject) with reporting, SPF and DKIM aligned, lookalike-domain monitoring, and an out-of-band callback rule for any payment change.

In plain English

Impersonators posing as you

Scammers can send emails that look exactly like they came from you, and your clients can't tell the difference. We lock down your email so only you can send as you, and set a simple "call to confirm" rule before anyone changes where money goes.

Common

Passwords aren't the only key

How it's exploited Phished or reused passwords get replayed against email, VPN and banking. Stolen session tokens and over-permissioned app grants can skip the password entirely.

The fix Phishing-resistant MFA (passkeys or security keys) on email, admin and banking, conditional access, a password manager, and a review of third-party app permissions.

In plain English

Passwords aren't the only key

A password alone is a single lock, and copies of it get stolen and sold. We add a second key that only you have, like your phone or a small USB key, so a stolen password isn't enough to get in.

Common

Backups never audited

How it's exploited Ransomware crews go after the backup console first, then encrypt or delete it. A backup that has never been restored is an assumption, not a recovery plan.

The fix 3-2-1 backups with an immutable or offline copy, separate admin credentials for the backup system, and scheduled restore tests with documented recovery times.

In plain English

Backups never audited

Having backups isn't the same as being able to use them. We keep a copy criminals can't reach and actually practice restoring it, so you know exactly how fast you can get back up and running.

Often

Old logins, no login auditing

How it's exploited Former staff and vendor accounts stay active, and nobody reviews the sign-in logs, so a compromised account can sit inside your systems unnoticed.

The fix An account and privilege audit, alerts for unusual sign-ins and new devices, and an offboarding checklist that actually revokes access and rotates shared credentials.

In plain English

Old logins, no login auditing

People who left your company may still be able to log in, and nobody would notice. We shut old accounts down and set alerts, so a strange login gets caught right away.

Often

Vulnerabilities in guest Wi-Fi

How it's exploited Guest phones, smart TVs, cameras and card readers share a flat network with the computers holding client files, so one compromised device can reach everything.

The fix Network segmentation (separate VLANs for guest, IoT and staff), WPA3 with client isolation, and firewall rules that are enforced and reviewed.

In plain English

Vulnerabilities in guest Wi-Fi

Your guest Wi-Fi may share a network with the computers that hold your client files. We give guests and gadgets their own separate network, so one bad device can't reach your business data.

Often

Critical website vulnerabilities

How it's exploited Outdated CMS plugins, missing security headers and unvalidated forms open the door to injection, cross-site scripting and defacement, and can get your domain blacklisted.

The fix Patch management, a web application firewall, HTTPS with HSTS, a strict content security policy, hardened forms, and monitoring for unauthorized changes.

In plain English

Critical website vulnerabilities

An outdated website can let attackers steal customer information or put their own content on your site. We keep it updated, protected and watched, so problems get caught before your customers ever see them.

We don't stop at the symptom

Fixed isn't finished.

Most providers close the ticket once things work again. We keep going. We find out why it broke, make sure it can't happen again, and then make it better than it was. That's where real security comes from, and it's where innovation starts.

  1. 01

    Fix it

    Get you running again, fast.

  2. 02

    Find the root

Track down the real cause, not just the symptom.

  3. 03

    Lock it down

Close the door so it stays closed.

  4. 04

    Make it better

Leave things stronger than we found them.

Where most providers stop ↑ after step 01

Why Forward Line

Proof, not false promises.

Anyone can claim to be secure. We show you. Every finding we report comes with evidence you can check yourself: what was tested, how it was tested, what we found, and how to reproduce it. After the fix, we re-test and document the result, so the report holds up on its own in front of an insurer, an auditor or your next IT provider.

Blind cross-check

More than one firm, checked blind

Independent partner firms test the same authorized scope without seeing each other's work. We reconcile their findings, so one tester's or one tool's blind spot doesn't become yours.

Offense

We go looking for the holes

Defense waits. With your written authorization, we use the same reconnaissance and testing techniques attackers do, map what's exposed, and plan for what's next, including post-quantum encryption.

No "good enough"

You shouldn't settle

If your provider is slow, vague, or can't keep its own website current, you deserve better. Talk to our clients and judge for yourself.

Our mission

Technology shouldn't be a trap.

Alex, founder of Forward Line
"We bridge the gap between technology and the people running real businesses — so the folks who get overlooked stop getting taken advantage of."

Forward Line started from a simple frustration: too many good local businesses are sold jargon and overpriced tech they can't evaluate — or worse, left exposed by whoever set things up and walked away.

We come from communities where nobody handed you a map. That's exactly why we do this differently: plain language, honest findings, work you can see, and protection you actually control. Big-company capability, built for small business.

How we deliver

Many experts. One clear answer.

One firm gives you one point of view. We bring in leading security firms and specialists, compare what each of them finds against verified data and real test results, and boil it down to a short plan you can act on. More heads, checked against each other, find what a single perspective misses.

Many perspectives

Industry-leading partners

Vetted, certified firms (OSCP and CISSP level) with their own insurance, working only under your signed authorization.

Verified data

Findings, cross-checked

Pen test results and scans are compared side by side. What's confirmed gets fixed first. What's disputed gets dug into.

One conclusion

A plan you can act on

No 80-page report. A concise, plain-English answer with a local point of contact who owns it.

Straight answers

Hard questions. Straight answers.

We're a small office. Is anyone really targeting us?

Usually not by name, and that's the point. Most attacks are automated: they try every inbox and every login they can find, and small offices are easier to get into. Your free security check shows what's actually exposed for your business, so you're not guessing.

Will you touch our systems?

Not without your written permission. The free security check only looks at what's already public. Any hands-on testing happens after you sign an authorization that says exactly what's in scope.

What does it cost?

One-off projects get a fixed written quote before we start. Ongoing consulting is a flat monthly fee. Price depends mostly on how many people and devices you have, and whether you handle regulated data like patient or client financial records.

We already have an IT person. Do we need you?

Maybe not. We often work alongside an existing IT person or company as the security advisor, checking the setup and helping with insurance and client requirements. If your setup is solid, we'll say so.

What if we decide we don't need some of it?

That's fine. You see each gap, what it would cost to fix, and our honest read on whether it matters for you. You pick. The report is yours to keep either way.
